This year, the airline is expected to make 8-10 test flights before the end of the tourist season and resume flights in the spring of next year. After studying the market needs, flights between Tehran and Kazan can become permanent.
“We believe that Kazan is a real bridge between Iran and Russia, so we hope that residents of Tatarstan use this opportunity,” Mohammad Shayan, a representative of ATA Airlines, was quoted as saying by RIA Novosti news agency.
According to Shayan, flight duration between Tehran and Kazan will be 3 hours 20 minutes, Financial Tribune reported.
The cost of tickets for a direct flight, he added, will be from $150 to $350 (round-trip) instead of 600-650 dollars for a flight with a transfer. Flights will be conducted on Thursdays and Sundays.
